Does new kaboom kaboom?

i dont see why it wouldnt. i mean theres not a bunch of difference in the specs.
i think it will be pretty close to the sound of the original.

that was almost 2 years ago --
so it might be hard to locate that thread --

They started selling these in 1997-8.. i remember seeing one of these in a Rent-A-Center at the end of 1997.. i have old J&R Music world catalogs that put it at this time frame.. 13 years... wow how time has flown..

I've seen some reference to the Kaboom coming out in 98 but I really don't know, I thought they came out before then.

i am almost certain the first kaboom showed up around christmas of 97 i could be wrong but i am almost positive.
i seem to remember them going aways for a couple of years then returning again.
my favorite of all kabooms is the ones that remains elusive to me and that is the all black version of it i remember lusting after in the future shop here.
it was way to much money for me to purchase. back then the canadian dollar was pretty much 60 cents on the us dollar.

If I remember correctly the first Kabooms started showing up in Japan in late '97with a US debut in '98. This appears to be right as JVC had been winding down the PC series which had nearly an eighteen year run at that point.

I bought one brand new in 98 they were pretty darned new then

the green one is pretty cool. there was one that went locally for eighty bucks that was pretty mint. i was tempted because it was green but i dont want four kabooms. i am already feeling wierd for having three of them.
