does anybody know of a book documenting the golden era of boomboxes ive looked on line and found nothing.. 
if not one needs to be made loaded with pics history and specs

I can't recall ever seeing a book on this subject. 
It wouldn't surprise me if there were some low production books on the topic but I wouldn't expect them to be easy to find.

Yeah really, the only thing like that, is the BoomBox Data Base, and that's on disc.
It's a bit difficult to read a computer in bed.....Laptop's great if you have one, but a book would be really nice.
A nice BIG book. A book that can have ACTUAL SIZE boombox pictures in it.
Then people can open the book to the relevent boombox of their choice, and can imagine owning that boombox if they never did, by carrying the book on their shoulder. 
So yeah, the book would need to be JC-2000 size. A special rack in the store will have to be manufactured for that book.

From my expirience in that business, that kind of book would have a lot of pages and will be much expensive.

Yes I know what a book production costs:
I`m working together with a big publishing house.
It does cost a couple of thousand euros.
I`ll invest time and cash as well.
What`s your intention?
I don`t get the sense of this post.
It`s not a business.
Approx .39 euros, unexpensive for a book with 450 pages.
You don`t earn money with a book -you get just 5%-10% for each as an author.
You`ll only sell a couple of hundred books on the entire planet.

I do not want to produce a "scrappy" book made of photocopied pages sticked together by stinky glue...

is for my fear that I'll not able to purchase that book if its cost too much money, but.......Can't wait the time when that book will released,
Believe me, I have not intention to discourage and deject you (jens) and all of you guys.
Just I know that preparation and printing of such kind of book here in Macedonia will cost too much - for example, book of 300 pages in quantity of 100 pcs, here will cost about 100 euros for 1 piece - , but, with that price of 39 euros for about 450 pgs..........................., the all my previous questions is beyond question .
