Do any boomboxes really take 20 "D" Batteries?

Hey all-
I've just gotten into this hobby, and I've read on one or two websites that some boomboxes take 20 "D" size batteries. I find that very hard to believe! I know about the famous scene in the movie "Do the Right Thing", but that is bogus....Do any boxes take more than 10 "D" Batteries?

Yep , the famous scene where a dude asks for 20 D's
A J 1 takes 10 D's . A box eats batteries so the guy wanted a extra load of them.

The most that I have ever heard of is 12 D's...and that is for the ultra-powerful Sony FH series.
