Discolites whose light timing is broken

I have an Elta 6874, and all the disco LED's work, but the timing is bad. The light show is supposed to speed up at higher output levels, but it never does. The speed remains constant no matter what. How can this be fixed? Is there a sound sensor that needs to be replaced?

Maybe that one is working like it's designed? I'm sure they don't all work the same way.

Nope, if you look at YouTube vids of this model you can see how it's supposed to look.
