Din pin input for iPhone etc

Hello all

just starting my BB journey and was wondering how din pin connections work for pluging iPhone etc into them?

do they need to have the record button engaged for them to take the input?

can you mod them to not do that?

din is an old outdated standard before RCA. Don't even bother.

DIN works fine on many boxes including Crowns, Universums, Telefunkens, etc. On other boxes it doesn't work right, but that's not the fault of the DIN connection, it's a fault of whoever designed the preamp
