Found a few boxes last week, couldn't leave them!!

I was after the Sharp for a long time because you guys give it so much credit "soundwise".I just didn't want to pay too much for it... The Sony was a lucky one, love the looks and its gadgets, but I'm still no great three piece lover.

The Sharp needs new belts and a proper clean, has some scratches but overall great for its age. Came with the original documents as well!! It's sound is promising, but will have to clean it some more to give it a real test. The Sony's face looks minty fresh and it's sound amazes me, not a great boomer but just fresh, clear.. and original.

That Sony is just HUGE...
Does it become like a briefcase when its folded? i Have a Aimor that does that.

Yes it does, and the hinges pass through the signal.... It comes with extra wire to. :-D

Congrats.
For the Sharp, get a piece of 5x2 or 6x2 silicone fuel tube as well along with the belts, before opening up!
Most probably, the rubber on the capstan pin might have melted. You would be able to see it through cassette door.

Nice scores! I have the Sony, it's got a very unique look and the size is massive but I'm not impressed with the sound. Still, it's fun to have because nothing else looks like it.
