I thought CD's were available in 82 or 83, but only in separate components

Interesting box. I looked it up and it originally sold for $600 which was a good chunk of change back then. Did anyone notice the connector for the tape deck? Also the speaker cabinets are wood which is almost unheard of in a Boombox. Any online sleuths want to track down the cassette portion of this so what it would look like all decked out?

It's a rare beast. The Sony CFD-5 and Toshiba RT-7095 beat it out the gate along with a Philips model. It's a nice find to have.
