After charging my Tenergy D batteries I had a decision to make on who would munch on them.

I decided this time around it should be...

:-) My baby and I Rockin' it in the kitchen while we prepare dinner. Who knew 15Volts of DC power could sound so good and be so much fun to deplete.

This box is HUNGRY too. Although I think the M90 is more power HUNGRY than the C100 but they're neck and neck.

Thank goodness for rechargeables

How long do you think a set could last in the Conion, say the boombox was being put on full blast at a party? 3 hours, maybe? Been curious about how these high-powered units consume juice.

That sounds about right with the rechargeable batteries I'm using. Alkalines are less than that. Maybe 2 Tops :-) :frankenstein:

**Edit**

I would like to withdraw my previous 2 and 3 hour statement. As noted below I am now on hour 5 and 6 and still going...not full blast but no change in battery level. Looking like 8 to 10 at moderately loud volumes and up to 14 being sensible :-)

Damn, you'd be changing batteries every so often at outdoor functions.

Id say about 10 hours flat out in the conion tranzistorised, this has been done before and these are outstanding battries, the only reason i don't buy them for my m90's is i can't lift the damn things any more and you can't get actual 10 d size battery chargers anymore

10 hours is good to know. For some reason I never gave it any thought until FWSnake had mentioned it and just guessed. And yes...it definitely adds to the weight when loaded :-)

As I have gotten older I seem to be less observant and time seems to fly by faster.

Im actually just guessing my friend but the test has been done in other boomers and they lasted for days on flat out constantly, they could last you longer but we all know the conion m90 lasts about 3 hours max on alkaline....but these will last way longer....fark i wish i could take an m90 out again, i sure miss those days...my friend won't carry one for me as he knows all about the daft prices lol

good news for me though im picking up my second m90 tomorrow which i bought from a member here but was trashed in the post (not his fault) it's had 2 new amps major cracks in the board and case work done, my engineer is a GOD haha which is a rare thing...i have dealt with so many and they don't know how to turn a box on never mind fix em, so im over the flipping moon, sorry for the thread hijack  :-D

I know when I was livin down in the Big Easy and blastin on the daily, I was blown away by how long the batteries lasted in my big Clairtone. At full high volumes I would say 10 hours would be a safe guess...though I think they lasted longer....maybe MUCH longer.
Any guinea pigs out there wanna blast away and give us a more accurate number!?

I've gone way longer than 3 hours on Energizers in mine. Anybody else?

That's good....

The first time I took my Wheely out it ate a fresh set of D's in about 4 hours (at full blast) and I was pretty shocked. It's done that twice. I wonder if there is something wrong with it?
