Mad as cheese! Apart from their ability to travel through time, I can't think of why I'd want one though. ;-)

In my humble opinion, that engine is better in one of its native (PRV) applications:

I will admit to a certain reluctant admiration for John DeLorean, in the same way that I think Robin Hood was probably quite cool.

I have an original Delorean brochure in my storage unit, my old boss back home in NY, his brother runs one of 3 shops in the US that works strictly on Deloreans and I got it from him.

This same company in Texas is offering the electric versions. You can customize Your own DeLorean with GPS navigation, MP3, modern engine upgrades, etc. They basically, purchased all of the patents and all the sheet metal, NOS parts, etc from the company. They are reproducing some of the parts with OEM quality stuff so, it's all correct and legit. I wish I could buy a new one from them.

I love these cars....the only obvious issue is the original cars have 160 hp Volvo engines in them and although they are reliable, they are far from exciting.

Throw a 400 hp small block chevy in with a ZF transaxle and that car would be a BLAST!
