I know what your thinking....."WTF is he saying?", "Is he insane?", "Has he sustained a recent head injury?" :annoyed: :hmmm:

The answer is "Maybe" and "No", I ran into some serious "Length" issues the other day. I was at a friends place of business. A two story industrial building. I was going to help him wire up some video camera's on the roof. To get up to the roof, you have to climb a ladder and go up through a roof "Access Hatch".

I had my Sharp GF-777z in the trunk, so I figured "Hell, we need some music to make the time go by faster".

I gleefully trotted out to my car because I'm ALWAYS looking for an excuse to do some BLASTIN'.

I threw the 777 up on my shoulder and headed up the ladder only feel and hear a "BANG ! ! !" as I neared the top of the ladder. :-O

To my surprise my radio didn't fit through the LARGE opening to the roof. Worse than that, I put a BIG dig in it!

It's hard for me to be pissed because I did it and at the same time I have said many times that "My collection is for using, not collecting dust on a shelf somewhere!"

But it still B-L-O-W-S !

:bang: DAMN IT :annoyed:

the good thing is it's easy to paint the outer part of the case if you tape off around the control panel and the part where the speakers are .

WTF? A "large" hole? A GF-777 will fit through a hole as small as 15" by 7".  I'm confused. :-/

Was there alcohol involved?   :-P

  I know why you would assume Alcohol would be involved...But sadly NO! If the radio was standing straight up, that could have worked!

I may do a paint job on it down the line, once it has more DIGS! :-/

I mean... I'm really curious as to how "large" this hole was. If a GF-777 won't fit through it, there's no way the Fatdog will.

:agree: This is why I have my beaters, my pretty players and my dust collectors.
But this is just how some of us play it, for those like Chris who use them all that's cool too. When you own the box you can treat it anyway you want.

:agree: i also have at least 5 good beater boxes ranging from lasonics to panasonics i love my beaters i can actually use them with no fear of damage and just because they are beaters don't mean they're weak or small .
