I wish sombody could photo shop an m90 in chrome or silver just basically a few different takes on an m90 to give me ideas, as i would love a totally different looking m90, and would pay good dollar for one as i find the looks kinda boaring.

so any ideas welcome i already have the best sounding box but would love a one off looking one ps i aint bothered about the value of the box but heck if this was aproached correctly the value may stay the same so ideas in photo welcome thanks :-)

Forget the chrome, Tim. It would look cheesy -- no question about it. Silver would be great though and retain a classic look. But recoloring the case is the easy part. Whatcha gonna do when you end up with a BLANK case. Wouldn't that be worse than a japanese lettered box?

m90 is a hard box to customize, you know what i do is just start combining parts from different boxes to see what happens .

For the lettering one could take photos of the original and vectorize them and have some glossy vinyl
labels made. Then you could computer color match to whatever color you decide to paint the box.
Would be a bit of work measuring and drawing them but it would be worth it for the end result.

If I EVER get my hands on a beater M90 I have some special paint waiting for it. This will definitely be my best project to date...just need a donor, beater M90.....or someone willing to sell one...

I think the M90's design lends itself well to to be custom coloured.
The middle 'T' section has defined boundaries with the chrome strips down the centre
and the tuner bands and power buttons essentially in their own panels.

The hardest part would be finding a complementary colour that works with the
gunmetal. I'd be leaning towards darker rather than lighter colours, I could see I nice
deep/dark (and slightly metallic) green working beautifully.

This would be in keeping with the styling of the original, but may be too subtle.
So then I'd look at changing the chrome details to an antique gold finish.

I've been thinking about this for a couple of days, I reckon it'd look pretty special!

Good luck Tim!!

Rock On.
