My custom beater SCR 2005 came with no tapedoor, no power supply, no tuner glass, no front foots, no cassette keys, no wires inside, no many things...

Analizing a way to solve that,I made customizations one by one... ...by myself, from scrap.

Pic when arrives (deliver without speakers, I use some that I have here).

Maybe tonight I will finish the tapedoor working...

You put a lot of work into that Rising, it has come a long way from being a pile of scrap!

Dear me, you like a challenge! I'm not so sure I'd be as brave as you regarding the whole project although I really do like the idea of making parts such as the deck door, I think I can make a reasonable attempt following your inspiring work so I'll be coming back to see how the work progresses. Nice one.

Damn, this radio has come a LOOOOONG way.

That tape door is damn impressive. Something I have thought of many times....buy a super cheap radio missing the door and take on the challenge, but I just didn't have the balls! Thanks for proving it can be done

As much oy your known, here in Brazil we have more collectors than the Boomboxes, so we all try to do the best with all we have in hands, when they appears...

Now I need to figure out how I will make the deck keys...

Maybe there is a style/shape of LEGO that you can use for the cassette keys. Maybe sand off the top bumps and make a hole for the arm and glue it on.
