Crown CSC 850L Tape door won't close

I service my crown 850 and when i screw it back closed the door sta open and wil not close.

I say nothing strange i hope some person here can help.

I think the inside latch mechanism that hold the door in locked position is hidden inside the front cover. Remove the front cover with speakers and understand the door locking mechanism and the lever involved with the closing of the door. Put the front cover back carefully making sure the latch is now clear to lock with the door.

I can take pictures maybe someone here can see the problem.

I never touch the door en the mechanism seems alright but what i know im a newb.

The door is automaticly open en the eject knob push the little black thing up and down.

If i push the door bij hand and push the play button it is verry hard if i keep the door open and push play no problem.

Im heart broken this boombox means a lot to me :L

If maybe someone can take pictures of his/hers crown 850 en compare maybe.

I wil take pictures and place them here.

This box is easy to work on I would pull the front panel back off check the working of the door and the latching mechanism and make sure the deck is screwed down and not wonky and out of alignment.

The door is open automaticly everything look like before the problem was there.

If i screw the box closed the problem is still there.

I don't know where to look for.

If i push pauze it doest work either for some reason.

Take the front case off then plug in the headphones and monitor the performance of the deck and if it's not working right don't put it back together if it's working right then see if you can figure out why the door won't stay closed.

You have to work these decks for a bit when you replace the belts just to get everything spinning around again.

I clean everything al the old grease but no results.

The door is open wil not close

These pics show the actual ejection mechanism first and the tab the mechanism uses to lock the deck door. If tab is broken on deck door than that is why it’s not locking
