Wow! Never EVER seen one of those before! :-O

Exactly how do those tone, balance and volume buttons work? Are they digital controls?

Congratulations!

They're just funky shaped knobs.

So they turn?... Highly unusual and cool at the same time...

How does it sound?

As far as sound goes. Not too sure. I haven't cracked it open yet to see what's causing the right speaker to be significantly quieter than the left. :hmmm:

But from listening to it I'd say it's on par with my JVC M60JW. The M60's power consumption is rated at 18W and this Crown is rated at 26W so it's considerably more powerful.

Oh and also:

The silver part of the Box measures 19.5"x10"x4" (which is slightly smaller than a Panasonic RX-5050)

If you include the gunmetal grey "speaker cabs" it measures 22"x10"x4.5"

Imagine this box on his shoulder.

I do remember. He said it looked like someone had taken bookshelf speakers and cut them in half and dropped a vintage boombox into them. Look carefully and you'll notice some tweeters hiding in the "ports"
