First of all - sorry about the crappy cell phone pics :blush:

As most of you guys know, i have been on the hunt for a Crown 970 recently :yes: .
What can I say?
I was successful :-D

All I can say is WOW - that radio blew my freaking mind :dunce:
The sound is insane....and I mean INSANE. I did expect 850 quality but what I got was almost making my M90 shiver in respect :-O

Yeah, I was scared of the packing too :-/
But after a little contact cleaning and rebelting, this baby will be back in glory :thumbsup:

shipping boxes is scary, almost as scary as waiting to see what happens with a box you're waiting for.
can't be too many of those crowns floating around .

Just successfully removed the stupid cassette glass which was glued on by some moron :annoyed:
and cleaned the contacts a bit :yes: .
Loudness is working again and it is a lot less scratchy :-D

It´s a Mix os BB40 (Tapedeck, LEDs VUs, Knobs positions and Tuner)
Lasonic (Tweeter shall remember)
Conion C100-F (Chrome Ring and Woofer Grils, Handle)...

A combination of some classic boxes have better!!! :drool:

The 3rd 970 i see in Germoney last 2 weeks. :-) Maybe there re some more in my storage and i didnt realized it over the years. :lol: Congrats Max!
