I colelcted this earlier today and the guy can get a lot of them he said, 80's boxes that is. I gave him my email and he promised to be in touch soon, fingers crossed. He said his mate owns 12 tips around the area and gets boxes on a daily basis. I'm hoping something good comes of it.

Anyway, grabbed this from him and its a beauty!!!

She's a beauty indeed, but that's the very first CSC-950 I've seen with a power button and the Crown name on top. :-O

Yeh weird, the top has a green tint from original too. The back says CSC-950ML if I recall. I notice it says VHF instead of FM too, which is true for the radio band selector and the lights in the window says VHF Stereo instead of FM stereo! interestng.

Oh, and I prefer the term 'VHF' to FM in a way, it's actually a more accurate term as VHF is the freq band, FM is only a mode.

technically it is vhf as the 108 is were aviation frequency starts which is in am mode instead of the fm mode and below 88 is vhf tv frequencies which by the way has moved here in the states to the 445 mhz band thats to the new digital operation........ :yes: :yes:
