I think most people here would rather they were all low priced, so we would be able to afford getting more... we're here because we collect, and are enthusiasts of these. Not because we are wanting them to be more valuable.
Yes, what I mean is, you look at a boombox and tell yourself: Wow, its relative value is way too low. Other similar boomboxes are trending for 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x more money! Its value should go up to do it justice!
That's what I meant by "criminally underpriced" sorry for the confusion.
I see.... I guess I just don't look at it that way.
I simply see a box I like and decide if it's something I wont feel bad about spending on.
I don't really say, "well this one sells for x, even though it should be y, because that box is better and sells for z, when it should be more like x."
Very hard to also. What sells for $1000 this week may get only $600 next as it depends on who is seriously looking at any given time and if you check out the actual bids it may be only 2 people bidding an item up from $500 to $1000 with 20 back and forth bids.
There certainly is a tend atm for boomboxes in general, but prices can, and will fluctuate constantly depending on buyers at time of listings. That, and an absolutely MINT piece will always throw a curve into the equation as serious collectors don't care about cost if it is what they want.

Those boxes you speak of should remain a secret as there are too many jokers trying to sell mediocre boxes for home run money as it is! Lol!
I keep hoping for the price crash thing that occurs with collecting sometimes...since I do not collect as an investment but for enjoyment lower prices on collector zone boxes would help a guy like me out.. You know... Not to wish ill or anything...
