So i went out today full of gloom as there are no boot sales or markets on, instead i thought i would visit a little shop i used to often go to but haven't been to for about a month. My son loves it there and often spends his pocket money on a random mono (he loves them, no idea why) but today it was my turn to reach for my money.

First up a Sanyo C20 with built in turntable, a bit of a clean up needed, the foam in the speakers is not from the speakers but a bit of foam covering, i'll clear that out. All seems to mostly work including record deck, tho it needs a needle. Tape fwd and rew strong but needs a play belt. Sounds really strong! It weighs so much, heaviest box i have handled by far:

Next up is this glorious Panny RX1. Fully working, clean, glorious sound, aerial intact, spot on in every way. I really really like this, too big to be a mini but too small to be medium size box, and is the weight of a much larger box. Its sooo good.

Not a bad day, very unusual to find boxes like this over here. It's not a "Deech" haul but its not to shoddy! Hope your all well :-)

Very nice Tre, so rare to find anything at our shops or sales.

And also (I think like yourself), ive found going on a boombox hunt is great reason to spend some quality time with the kids :-)

All of those Panny mini compo's sound great. Good value too.

WOW - well done! "I want the C20!" (*stamps feet*) That's areal good looker you've landed there, T-STER - you must be so pleased with your finds today. The panny looks like the RX-C45L to me, I'm now looking at one I acquired a short while ago and, yes, I can also confirm that these small Pannies sound good for small boxes!

Very Deech like haul Tre!

That Sanyo is a thing of beauty!...now get back to Deeching... :hooray:
Deeching !!!!
Now thats a good neologism ! I like it Geoff :-)
Couldnt resist to answer that !!!
Great finds both Tre!
I havent seen the Sanyo C20 too.
Sanyo produced so many good boomers
at the time , the brand is so diversified !!
they offered a huge variety compared to other brands
The C20 (as i see from the pics) is definitely the answer from Sanyo
to the JVC DC-33 and to Panasonic SG-J500.
Only i am quite sure the Sanyo C-20 would sound much better
compared to the other 2 even if i havent heard it in person !
Great Tre just great for finding them out in the wild
Those who insist and keep on looking they are always rewarded.

Ha ha, I love how that Sanyo tries to look like it has square drivers, but it's just a sheet of foam covering a traditional round speaker
