I did few searches and got no result for any topics/pictures regarding this box (which I am to mention bellow) on the forum. Youtube also got zero result. I guess it is because this model is Japanese domestic only.
The desire to get one of this raised right at the moment I am into boombox collecting. It was few years ago, when I though old-school cassette players are very cool and I need to get mine some. I hooked up to one local electricity secondhand site and found a guy who was selling two National boxes: a RX-5400 in average shape and RX-5620 in better condition & few dozens buck more expensive. I love the looks of both. But that is my first purchase of old electrical device over internet, so I decide to choose only one. The RX-5400 is my choice after the guy told that it is not only bigger, but sounds better too.
The purchase turned out to be a great deal with fully working 5400 in my hand. After getting the 5400, I immediately contact the seller telling him that I want to buy the 5620 too. Too late, another collector already took it.
Since then, I've been always in search of another 5620, but it seems to be a quite rare model. Not a single sight of one available for years, untill the last weekend. It took me Not a single second to seal the deal when I spot one in one of my local site. The good thing is it is only 30km away from me, and I can drive to get it my self. For 80 dollars, it is not a bad deal on a good looking, fulling funtional and heavy late 70s box, is it?
Enjoy some pics guys. And have a nice weekend. Thanks
