Hey, peeps!!! :-)

Got some woofers laying about with various size dust-caps & also have some copper foil shielding tape to play with after my Prosonic grounded shield project & decided to try some foil on the dustcaps to give them that Chronic stamp of 'in your face' style. :jawdrop: :jawdrop: :jawdrop: :jawdrop:

Pics coming soon......

Here's what they look like originally. They are Foster car speakers & are really quite interesting in their own way. They have cloth inverted surrounds, very big magnets for a 6.5" full range woofer & extremely light & efficient paper cones. From the side, it looks like it's got a 1" voice-coil too that seems pretty promising overall & the best part is they're 4-ohms. 40 bucks shipped & in perfect condition. Even the surrounds are a perfect black, not sun-faded or stained at all.

Here's a first peek....more to come....

Copper huh? Actually I can imagine that could look really good on the right boxes. I'll be checking in for more pics.

Nice!

Another one I love copper cone and chrome dust caps.
I haven't seen that so far

I have JBL large speakers with all copper types. The looks are mind blowing.

Well, personally, not too impressed with the outcome on this one...

It'll look OK behind a grill but definitely amateurish, not the finished look I was going for. I thought maybe the foil would lay better than that but it's hard to get an even layer of foil on a spherical surface...

Please post a picture when you get it behind the grill. The color is great for sure
