I spent most of the day after university cleaning and rebelting this little elephant and the result is beautiful!

This is really why I love this hobby. This box is easy to work on and it is just fun to disassemble and re-assmble it  .
So what I did was changing the main belt, adjusting the tape speed and the tape head, cleaning the contacts (worked like a charm) and throwing the whole front into the bath tub :-D .
The light goes over the whole tuning scale again after cleaning the glas and the dust in the speakers is gone :-D .
Now this baby is quite near mint. I think I will put chrome dustcap speakers in when I find some though

And here is a pic of the result of today's work:

Love it too Max  it's a very gorgeous boombox  The Speakers don't look stock :hmmm: Maybe from a Sharp or something :hmmm:

Actually the speakers ARE stock  . This Continental version is very rare and features those black dustcaps.
I know that alfie's has chrome caps but that is because he got it from Peter and Peter changed the speakers because it just looks better with chrome  .
I think what I might do is actually only get dustcaps online and glue them over the black ones :hmmm:
