I spent most of the day after university cleaning and rebelting this little elephant and the result is beautiful!
This is really why I love this hobby. This box is easy to work on and it is just fun to disassemble and re-assmble it
.
So what I did was changing the main belt, adjusting the tape speed and the tape head, cleaning the contacts (worked like a charm) and throwing the whole front into the bath tub
.
The light goes over the whole tuning scale again after cleaning the glas and the dust in the speakers is gone
.
Now this baby is quite near mint. I think I will put chrome dustcap speakers in when I find some though
