No. You need one exactly like m40dotcom posted. The mini jack will be plugged into the MP3 player and the male RCA jacks will be plugged into the JVC.

Monstercable makes an awesome one, look at their website. I bought it at Best Buy about 5 years ago and it still rocks.

Then you get iPod sounds on all your boxes...
