Never seen this boombox before... I got it! It sounds better than a Discolite. I'm in process of getting a wire reattached to speaker basket connector from voicecoil. It all works! Pics later tonight or tomorrow. 
It works! Radio is strong both channels. Right tape turns on FF RW, but dont play so well. Left cassette good FF RW, plays slow. Both easy fixes for qualified cassette tech. I'm probably going to part with it soon. Had trouble posting pic, so did so Stereo 2 go.

That price is f-ing ridiculous. This kind of seller makes me sick -- they find something unusual, talk to the community of collectors for free advice, then turn around and try to rape the same people who helped them. F them. This person should be banned.

It's kind of a rare box. Starting price is not that ridiculous. Neither is the reserve. The buy it now.....kind of crazy. Tell me fellas, what price do you put on a box no one has..... or has even seen before? We know what a Discolite box sells for...a nice Conion F100, a Sharp GF-777. Tell me, what does the Conion TC-6000 usually sell for

Well seeing its not a real discolite and it's not huge you might get $200-$300. That's just my opinion
understand its not seen around but just because it's rare don't mean it's worth a grand. Now you might get lucky but most collectors prefer the real Vela Discolite

Hey Bill, it's only worth what it's worth. It sure sounds better than a Discolight though. 
Maybe I sell it, maybe I don't. Maybe I take a trade. Maybe it's not even worth 2-3 hundred. Maybe nobody wants it and I just use it to impress my wife.

I would definitely keep it then. It sounds like its worth more to you. Believe me I have boxes that are worth more to me then it would be to others. It is a party box that's for sure
