conion tape run led

on my conion the tape run led dont work, it only has one led lighting up and it stays on , the tape counter belt needs replacing, will this have anything to do with it not working, thanks

Yes,the tape counter and the LED tape sensor are run by the same belt. If you check this the belt is probably at fault.

if that belt is loose the tape run light will stay on the same l.e.d once you change the belt then they should light up in sequence.

thanks guys, all the other belts on the lower deck were shot, i replaced them without taking out the whole chassis, i guess i will have to now just to replace one belt, job for tomorrow

thats the only problem just to change that one you need to pull the chasis out that way you can replace the faulty counter belt
