Upon further investigation of the project I found that I need a tuner knob, a tuner band selection knob, a rec. level knob, two antennae, a subwoofer, light bulb for tuner indow, and glass (plastic) tuner window. Anyone have any leads on these pieces?

Tryin to upload project progress pictures.
It's ALIVE...mwahahaHAHA!! (mad scientist laugh)

it looks like between the first set of your pics and the second you have lost your mixing level knob... thats a difficult part to find also, hopefully you can retrace your steps...

Yes, it was in an abandoned foreclosure home. I am a mech eng by trade, but in central fl those jobs were cut and are still being cut. Foreclosures however are going through the roof. So I started a foreclosure clean-out business. I get many left behind treasures.
Yes, the cassette door is there, but one side is missing the hinge axle. This looks llike a molded in to the case type feature. Any suggestions on fixing this?
The knobs are currently moving as needed for other functions, i.e. sometimes my volume knob is my tuning knob or my balance knob is my tuner band knob.
I am new to the collector boombox thing, however I am good friends with the local pawn shop. Anyone has a list of most desired boxes? I will give the list to my pawn shop buddy and who knows?

A list of most desired boxes! Trying to find any box from the early 80's. is a task in itself.
Good luck.

Here's a list compiled by Kingrat and many seasoned boombox collectors.
http://www.boomboxery.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=5420
It lists the most desired boxes (or "certified grails") to get.
It's sort of a boombox-collecting-for-dummies handbook.
The guys thought it would be easier just tell everyone which ones they should own.
That way, people new to collecting don't waste their time learning about the hobby.
