Conion C100 owners.....a quick question...or two

Hey all-
I recently scored one a Conion C100! It needs some work but overall is in decent shape. I have a few questions about it-
1-My backlights for the radio tuner only come on when the unit is plugged into AC power Is this normal?
2-The VU meters do not dance to the music in tuner mode....it looks like one acts like a power meter, and the other is signal strength. Is this correct??
3-My box is missing the chrome trimpiece that goes along the cassette buttons on the bottom....is that available anywhere? Anybody selling?
4-I'm also missing the casette storage compartment....but it seems lots of peoples are...and they are tough to come by...but I'll ask....anybody got one for sale?

YOU are correct. the backlights only operate when using ac power. In tuner mode the meters function as signal strength and battery condition. Don't worry about the cosmetic trim stuff, just blast it !!

Ask blu fuz for parts!!! I gave him that trim piece you need already detached from the radio. The VU needles only bounce with the radio on when in record mode if I remember correctly.

Thanks for the info guys!!! I wasn't sure on the operation of this unit, and the manual did not mention the backlights or the VU meters and when they functions. Blu Fuz is going to ship me some parts....thanks!

Someone must have thought they were getting the gold edition c100 when in fact it is just a regular conion c100 with horrible lighting. They will live and learn.
