Oh God another one of these Yawn Yawn

Following on from JBoogie and Jwrok707 here we have another Conion C-126 and from China no less.

Absolutely love this box, only problem it seems to have is the "tape moving round lights" next to deck A dont seem to workand neither does the line in, everything else is fine, tuner picks up my FM transmitter really well and i actually have a box with two working decks.
Pretty good cosmetic condition just a few small marks here and there.
Sound wise i think very good, turn the bass up and you can feel it through the floor, pretty loud on half volume but not sure what the sound quality would be like if tuned up higher.

First Chinese import and happy with the price, shipping time, and packing.
Also i didnt have to pay any import vat which also was a nice bonus.

Congrats alan  :w00t:

Seems that the packing is not very good and I think you have a luck that the bbx is not damaged during transportation.

Nice one,

I've bought from him before and been happy with the boom box. I'm actually chasing a 126 as we speak. The packing was great and in very good condition

This guy must have warehouse full desirable boomers......................

GZ Mr Partridge.
I was watching that one and was thinking about it too as it is a nice box.

The packing is not too bad though I would have preferred it to have bubble wrap around the boomer inside instead of just a thin piece of plastic bag.
Glad it arrived in one piece.

To start with the advert said both decks not working, then like a day later he changed it, he said he changed all the belts and both decks now working. No change in bin price so i pulled thst damn trigger :-D

I was happy with the packing in respect of the fact that it was loads better than some of the boxes ive recieved and it was still in one piece and in good condition. However i personally never use polystyrene as theres no give in it and makes a mess everywhere. Im a foam and bubble man.

Great score! These are the perfect size/weight/sound carry around box.

I think your tape-run LEDs aren't going because the tape counter belt was put back on incorrectly.
It's easy to miss the wheel the belt needs to be run along, but it's an easy fix. The bottom deck isn't
too awful to work on.

Good luck!

Hey Alan, congratulations on box! I agree about sound of box, it's better than I was expecting it to be, and it's pretty easy on the eyes!

TC-999 sounds a little cleaner with the extra tweeters, but I don't think it does much, they're not real tweeters. Well, stock, I'm replacing mine with real ones so it'll definitely be improved over my C-126.

That said, my TC-999 probably sounds better as it's lifes been less of a struggle than my poor C-126.

Rock On.

Congrats and welcome to the C-126 club! Mine arrived in the same manner as yours (and the GF-777 new as well!) and I was shocked it didnt get smashed as well. My LED tape movement didnt move either till I messed with it. Both my decks worked as well too! Mine only has an issue with the tuner. It's not picking anything up. I took it to my guy and he's waiting for a part as we speak. I really liked the sound coming from mine as well with the iPod hooked up to it. It cranked without distortion almost all the way past half. My C-100f is way louder but the 126 is way more lighter!! I will be taking it out more than any other large radio I have. Even the M90 is slightly heavier than it! Anyway enjoy it cause it's a great radio!!
