not sure what it is holding. I peeled it back and it had a plastic piece behind it. figured you guys would now. is there a platic trim bezel there or a sensor for the alarm? when I pulled it back the alarm went off. I found it today when I was hunting for bmx bikes and parts. i was at a car show/swap meet and they were using it. I walked around and kept eyeballing it. so after a little bit of running around I found the owner and it came home with me. I bought it to trade for bmx stuff from teh 70's-80's. I found a few collectors on the bmx museum. so if anyone has bmx bikes for trade drop me a line.
That's an excellent "in-the-wild" find, BWW. It looks like somebody replaced (or maybe covered) the aluminum trim on the storage tray with orange tape. All you need are some new knobs as far as cosmetics go.
