I like the TC999 better but maybe it was my 931(original square one) just wasn't the best.. The TC 999 has a great tuner that picks up stations clearly and has a nice sound to it, the 931 would maybe beat it in bass dept. but TC wins when everything is considered (looks, feel, and that feakin cool alarm :w00t: ) IMO.

Is the difference between that one and the C-126F purely cosmetic?
They look very close to my eye...

Different speaker embellishments I guess.

If the internals are the same then I'd say it has a very uncooperative bottom deck to rebelt. I certainly found it one of the more painful ones to replace.

Soundwise, I'd say it beats my original issue TRC-931, but not by a lot, It's more they have a different sound personality more so than one sounding 'better' than the other.

Rock On.

I love those c126's and yes I believe the internals are the same. Nice box!
TC 999 has tweeters in place of the super jumbo badges. I think that is the only difference.
I wish the sound / power matched the looks of these boxes.

The only other member of Boomboxery with a gold Conion C-100F.

Those TC-999's probably do sound better than an original TRC-931... :hmmm:

The C-126, I don't think so.  :-D Then again, maybe my buddy didn't have his adjusted right when we battled... :hmmm:

I don't know Ira, the back panel says it only consumes 17 watts total. That's not very much. Also, I seem to recall that they come up every once in awhile and I believe I've seen examples go for less than 1/2 of what this one went for, which is not mint by any stretch of the imagination. Dead decks, amp issues (one side louder than other) missing knobs. I'm guessing that you could do better.

The chrome guards look a little dull on your gold C100 LLopez :-P I have a minty set lying around here, extra shiny :-D

Just sayin ;-)

Unless those chrome guards are gold in color, you're probably wasting your time... They certainly wouldn't match up with the rest of the box. ;-)

You see, the bad part about having a box with gold chrome parts is that they oxidize much worse than regular chrome. :-/ When they go bad, all the chrome polish/residue remover in the world can't correct 'em! :sadno:

I know a place locally that does gold plating for anything-I thought about doing it for the bumpers on my s10, but then that would that would cost too much and make my truck look silly :-P

My local place would probably charge $50-$140 for all the chrome on the box.
