Well as much as I love Corvettes...if you read the adverts through time the Corvette pretty much dogged itself from 73/74 until the mid-eighties. That's what the gas crisis got you, less talk about power and more talk about plush.

Nice vettes ,like well say Oldskook69 ,powerfull muscle and sports american car lost power and performance from 1972.
gas prices ,high insurances and EPA environmental standards.

Great articles there.. thanks for posting that ....The corvette is truly my favorite car of all time ...to me the c3 was the first corvette I had ever seen and that's where the love affair began
