Clear Plastic dial covers

Has anyone been forced to replace the clear covers on the radio station identification panel ? Similar to those on Clairtone or Rising 20/20 boxes . Is lucite the best material for this ?

i prefer lexan which is basically a high strength plexiglass and is less brittle and has a very glassy smooth surface .

The original rising 20/20 glass fits in from the back side and is formed outward to fit inside the hole of the front case. My 20/20 someone fitted a clear acrylic/plexi window on the inside of the front case of my emerald 20/20 and you really can't tell it isn't original.

lowes and home depot sell clear plexiglass --in various thicknesses -
all you need is their ' stock 1/10th inch ( approx )
and it cuts well with any woodworking saws
