I got this GE as a freebie this past summer helping someone out. It was dirty, staticky comtrols, mud filled screw posts, scuffed up grills, and a broken/tempermental AC jack.

After I finished the Sensor (Gpx 990 aka) today I dove right into the next one and it was the GE's turn. I didn't want to invest too much time or thought into this one and it turned out good.

The overall sound clarity and range of sound is majical from these GE's.

I used a wood block to back brace the AC jack board because I don't have a replacement jack. Took my fat sharpie marker and re-blackened the grills to freshen it up. Everything works including the cassette.

That's the ultimate carry box right there. Lightweight, slim and smooth, yet it goes loud and sounds great.

Nice job!

It reminds me of my Pioneer with a digital clock that woke me up in the morning with a fav song on my cassette!
It was lost in a move.

I miss that beautiful Pioneer...

I cannot remember the model number

Looked very much like this GE.

I'm impresses, blu_fuz - not only with the excellent and.........'innovative' resto but also by the box. I love this style & size of small BB's with well laid out, front facing controls complimenting a tidy, aesthetic appearance. It's a 10/10 from me!

Thanks dudes!!!!

It was a quickie cleanup and I bet all of us have hot glue, sharpie marker, a piece of wood, windex, toothbrush and an old t-shirt laying around ;-).
