Hi All. Time for a total noob question... (apologies if its already been asked)

What do you use to clean your equipment (ahem)? I've recently got interested in boomboxes and picked up a few scraggy looking pieces just for display but i'd really like to get them cleaned and rid of the fluff and dusty sh*t in the grooves and also that annoying yellowy tinge that the grey plastic seems to go over the years. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the pointers but what do you clean the cases with? Washing detergent, mild soap, etc? And does this get rid of the yellow tinge that the plastics have? And how do you get rid of the cloudy windows that are supposed to be clear?
Apologies for the annoying questions but like I said I'm new here lol.

For cases I bath them just with washing up liquid. If they’ve gone yellow from the sun the no amount of cleaning will sort that. You need to look up retrobright

Cloudy windows are largely fecked lol

I use Dawn dish washing liquid and cool water with a soft cloth or soft sponge. Good luck with your project and welcome to the club
