Cleaning up National RX-7000/7200/5350 speakers meshes

All those models use fine steel mesh covering the speakers, tweeters and in some microphones.
Since they are quite fine cotton swabs won't get in between, or leave cotton residue in between the wires if going hard. Compressed air does not do much neither.
There is no easy to to remove the grilles and completely wash them since large chrome-plated rings in addition to 4 screws have 4 posts melted into the front case... Small ones are melted in as well.

From what I remember I removed speakers and washed it with a nylon bristle brush on 5350. :yes:
RX 7200 I only vacuumed while brushing with a tooth brush. I am so scared to fool around with that box. :w00t:
RX 7000 I believe I did the same vacuuming while using a soft bristle brush.

RX5350 got the flat punched hole look on the speaker screen. It is not the wire mesh! :nonono:
This was easy to clean.

I didn't even try to clean my 5350 grills. With that box, if it ain't broke, don't fix it!! Too risky, lol

Cleaning...means Q tips for it...That is the top of line box for a collector! I know how it feels! I hide mine most of the time...... :drool:
