Hi guys, just got my GE delivered, and am tearing down to clean it... Can't get the back case off and I assume I need to take the cassette door mech out but don't wanna break anything. Can't find a manual online, but I know this box is an aka of the Sharp GF-9797 so I'm hoping someone knows how to go about opening this thing? Thank you in advance as always 😊

I've noticed there's some light white paint mist on my chrome dust caps also, has anyone had good luck cleaning this off of the delicate chrome?

Also, right speakers really faint, Idk why

If it is indeed a very light misting of paint, you might be able to use some Orange Glo wood floor cleaner. You don't need a lot. Spray a light mist on a clean microfiber rag and gently rub the cap in a circular motion. Do not spray the cap directly.

If that doesn't work, create a paste using baking soda and water. Dip a different, clean microfiber cloth in the paste and rub the cap the same as above.

If you can actually catch a finger nail on a spot of paint, the above methods might not work at all. Careful removal of the paint using a fingernail or credit card might be the best.

The floor cleaner brought it right off! 😁 I love learning little tricks like that to clean these old boxes up
