cleaning the pinch roller

i am currently cleaning a gf-575 pinch roller with a minimal amount luke warm water, detergent and a qtips.
now, so far a good amount of gunk is coming off but do i have to keep cleaning until no more stuff comes off?

Use rubbing alcohol on qtip

i thought i read somewhere that alcohol can over time dry out the rubber and that something weaker is safer

Alcohol dries quickly but cleans many residues like melted belts. As long as it's used sparingly ..... You don't want use on any clear plastics
