Sodium bicarbonate and woolen cloth making miracles if its soooo bad. But never try it on boombox 
. If there is no writing u can try. But first try in other surface anyway. Im using some vinegar with water to clean some spots on box faces. But 1/3 vinegar not more. And than cleaning just with wet (from clear water) soft cloth for not living marks and last with really soft dry cloth. Not feelin too comfy to try chemicals on my precios
