What about EPMD's Business as Usual? Their first LP on Def Jam (they were a great label once)

One of the strongest tracks on a strong album.

Hey sean 91,

That's one funky track you talking about there. Oh and I like the cassette deck is it the RS-B608R, auto reverse model of the 605? I had the 605 years back. My sister has it now. I recorded lots of late 80s / 90s rap on it.

Fantastic work on the 575 'speakers. Where in the UK are you?

i live in the south west :-) and yes thats the one, its a RS-B608R (1988 model class AA). excellent quality when recording with its 3 types of dolby and its volume record control :breakdance:

glad u like the 575. the speakers turned out great, big emprovement on the originals you allways see in the 575 standard

Thing what I enjoyed about the Technics is that the recording resolution is incredible. It has 58dB and I don't think I've seen a cassette deck having a better one than that. I am sure they're out there though. Hey I suppose a trip to Penzance is on its way... :-D

I'm in the South East, sadly the capital.

You're right. I have gone off topic (naughty.......).

What about Rampage featuring LL Cool J. I remember Tim Westwood had the demo, very raw but hype. Where did music go so wrong.....?(Don't answer that).

A bit of overkill of one song, but one for each mood. :-D

early 90s epmd was at the top of thier game, gotta love their proteges as well: redman, K-solo, Das EFx etc :breakdance:

Well, it's funny you mentioned K-Solo, as I thought he was seriously underrated. Mind you, there were so many rappers that were underrated anyway. You would listen to these guys bust a rhyme and you're thinking damn, I wish that was me :-D :-D

I'm not even sure if he went Gold, which many great rap albums didn't achieve that status. Anyhow, he has a space in my record collection, like Das and Redman.
