Cinch pins stuck in the line input

Hi there,

I've got a little problem with one of my favourite boomboxes. The last time I pulled the cinch cable out of the line input, the metal pins of the cable broke off and are now still inside. Anyone got an idea how to get them out of there? Because right now this boombox remains silent - needs new belts and radio only covers Japanese frequencies.

Cheers,
Fred

Have you tried a suitably small self tapping screw? Screw one in gently and only while it has a hold, then pull the screwhead out with self grips.

if you can gain access to the back side of the rca jack , see if you can use a pin or nail to push it out enough to grab it from the other side with some pliers .

autobot had another good idea . put some jb weld on the tips of the prongs and attach something to it so when it's dry you can just pull them out.

I have had the same problem and like Floyd said, you should be able to access the inside and just push a nail or something small through and push it backwards out of the socket.

Yeah, I guess I gotta open it up to get access from the inside.
I tried to take pics but here's nothing much to see. Nothing sticks out. Just hollow metal pipes inside the input jacks. Barely noticeable.

edited because I realised that the suggestion I posted here had already been made earlier. Must read whole thread before replying... Sorry.
