I'm betting 2 Thousand percent that this topic has been covered before, but what kind of CD players are you guys hooking up to your boxes? I still have 500 CDs that need to be played (now that my 300 tapes are in constant rotation-lol)

A Sony D-5 or Technics SLX-P5. (I'm currently having issues with my D-5 though :bang: )

Only seems fitting that a portable CD player belts into a portable boombox   :-)

I have 2 portable CD players Sony and Panasonic:
Sony read mp3 files, but no line out, volume must be on max...

Panasonic have line out and output level is perfect to boombox.

My advice is to find cd player with line out.
I don't know a lot about portable CD players but I'm hearing there are differences even if they do have line-outs........like there are some that have amps behind the line-out and some that don't. Again, I'm asking and speculating because this is outta my league-lol
