Hi everyone! I just got a Panasonic RS-466S and everything works great on it, except it needs a bit of tuner cleaner on the knobs and switches, and the cassette is noisy when it is running. The noise doesn't drown out the music but if you had headphones plugged in you can hear the motor noise. Is this common with some older boomboxes or is it a sign of a motor on its way out??? It is not a rattling or squeaking sound. It just sounds like a loud motor. I don't know how to best describe it. It doesn't sound like anything is wrong really. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The cassette player plays perfectly, at the proper speed without drag. FF, RW, pause, eject, and auto-stop work perfectly. The tape counter also works. Thanks in advance.
