Whatever you do, don't buy from this eBay seller - eagle_eyes00. He is on the official Boomboxery Shiat List of sellers.

Regarding the boombox itself, they have a decent sound with a surprising amount of bass for the small woofers. It would make an excellent all-around, mid-sized addition to any collection. :-)

This one looks like in very well condition, but overpriced!!! :nonono:

My is comming, but in this time (Cristhmas) all orders to Brazil are delayed... ...maybe in january I receive my. :sad:

It´s my pesonal grail. :yes:

This candle bbx is not a $300 range box, it's usually $75.00 to $180 max. depending on the condition. You can get a sharp gf 777 for $300 at times, that candle is no gf 777. trust me...save your cash

The GF777 is what I really want and will continue to look for...... I just Don't trust those chinese sellers and their apparent never ending supply of them. I just came accross this Candle the other day and liked it I guess because it looked somewhat like my M70, which kicked off my boombox interest.

Well, my point was that box is only 22" wide and it doesn't really have a lot of features on it. It does have the analogue vu meters, which is inviting to me, but not much else.

Even knowing those speakers aren't much bigger than the tape deck door they probably have a good sound. The Candle, with it's good pics, good presentation and obivious good condition still should be about $150 for what you're getting.

The Chinese sellers on the other hand, they are real boxes, but you have to do your homework. Nobody wants to pay big bucks for a heavy hitter box then pay another heavy hitter price for shipping. It would be like paying for two gf 777's. Then when you find out it wasn't as described because the speakers rattle, the tape decks don't work or a channel is blown you'll be right back where you started.

I would check their feedback ratings. Make sure you ask questions regarding their description & what's pictured. Ask for a serial number. Make sure that box is good and all of the features on it work so you know what you're getting. One more thing, the shipping could take up to 30 + days. and you may only be refunded just the auction amount, not return shipping in most cases. So buying from China has risks, do your homework to save your ars

The alternative- patience- Once in a while you'll find a U.S. gf 777 auction - in good condition at a fair price.

I talked to some members here ( Ira included) when I first joined, about the Chinese sellers.... I have decided just to wait til I find one from a trusted seller. I am looking forward to getting enough posts to get into the boombox's for sale forum right here.... :lol:

btw your opening thread was hilarious about the whole posting for access thing, I got a chuckle out of it. I also think you have the dopest avitar, I laugh errytime I see it. You should make a postcard out of it, It's like don't talk to me, my ghettoblaster and I are having breakfast!!!

That box is overpriced though, I sold my excellent one to old member Johnny who sold it less than a year ago. Both sales were well under $200 and both listings were on eBay in the last 2 years. I've seen a few others on eBay in that time and I don't think any of them topped $200. :nonono:
