Can anyone identify these JVC speakers?

I found these speakers at the thrift store today. They have mounts on one side, so I'm thinking they came off a boombox.

They are pretty good quality, made in Tokyo: metal grills,compressed wood sides, no plastic.

Any idea where these came from? And please don't say the thrift store!
