prolly wont work that well because unless its a dedicated sub it won't produce low sub bass , more like punchy mid bass at best. i would check the frequency range of the woofers and see how low a frequency range they actually cover ,the lower the frequency range goes the more sub bass the speaker will reproduce.
i have a single 12 powered sub and i replaced the woofer with a car audio sub and i had to fix the damned ceiling because the sub is tearing the house apart and even blowing the box apart and its a really nice powerful unit , awesome just to see a sub rip **** apart.
