so whats the deal with the F versus the FF. i know the FF has some more features yadayada.... according to the spec manual, they both put out 15W X 2 RMS and 22.5X2 max. but whats bothering me is the power consumption. the F uses 61 watts where the FF uses 28 watts. just wondering how something with the same power output but has more electrical features, uses less than half the power to run?. maybe someone could explain this to me in my limited knowledge.

also the disirability factor. really want the F but i think id rather have the FF if its just as loud and made just as well.

any input on these models would be greatly appreciated......before 8pm tonight..hahaha blu_fuz

I'm not sure where you are getting the 61W power consumption number from. The manual states that the F model uses 48W.

Other models:
FF - 28W
FL - 48W
FLE - 46W

Yeah, it's a mystery how the FF version can (supposedly) put out 45W of power when it only draws 28W. :-/

For comparison, my Clairtone 7980 pulls 42W with a maximum output of 45W.

correct as usual fatdog.....48w. think the m90 is where i got 61W in my head? 60w for the gf-777

does anyone own an F AND an FF? maybe they could tell the difference by listening.

i dont wanna spend a ton of money on the FF if its not as loud as the F......but that FF is friggin gorgeous!

I don't think it will really matter about the loudness. My Clairtone (basically an F version) can barely go higher than 4 and your ears are bleeding and the neighbors are calling the cops. If the FF has to go up to 6 to achieve the same result, I think you're still a winner.

gz --i dont get the power rating difference either ??

but --you need to know --that the japan versions f the F and the FF look to have ALL the identical
looks and
features --
its ONLY the korean F which has less goodies

i belive it depends on the location where the box will end at notice the japanese box sometimes has a lesser rating than the usa box.. i belive each country has there own electrical code and ratings ....thats why you see the same exact box but different rating lets say the m70l the european version rates it at 47watts but the same box but with the jw designation has it at 40.. so it looks more like where the box will be deliverred or basicly sold and underwritten... :-)

I've got a C-100FF and the volume is easily the most terrifying of all my blasters, I always figured it hard to believe the single F model was even more powerful.
Ramonchito's explanation makes sense of this conundrum to me now!

Rock On.

I didn't get it either, think I had it with 10 seconds left, but thanks to me being on a cellphone I couldn't keep up with the action to outbid as needed. DAMN! How often are the c-100f's/c-100ff's even available on ebay and other places? I feel like I missed out on a a rare opportunity, but maybe they are available more often than I think.

From what I have read the 1991 Korean C100F has the loudest volume of all the C100 models...maybe someone with all the models in their collection could do a comparison??
