Well, I came upon an auction for a boombox which had a description that consisted of about 1,287 words. Not a single mention about the model number. AND... not a single pic was included.

So, being curious, I contacted the seller about the model number and if any pics could be provided. These are the pics I received:

There is method to that madness and it took lots of skill to manipulate those pics so that you don't know what the hell you are looking at. That way, the seller strategically calculates that when you get that royal POS, you can't complain it doesn't match the photos.

Wow that's incredible, I can f'up a pic like that by accident but to do it consistently is a skill.
Even in the crappy pics I can tell it's got issues, he's going to have to take even crappier pics.

I agree with VS. The only thing worse than the pictures is the box itself! No amount of blurry can cover up that piece of garbage! What the seller should really do is send you a photo of the dumpster where he plans to toss that thing when no one buys it!


(He might as well toss his crappy camera, too, while he's at it.)

I saw that right when it was listed and thought the same things. It honestly looks like it fell into a port-a-potty and they left it out in the sun to bake on the dookie.

Looks like a Panasonic RX-5020 which even if it was in excellent condition probably wouldn't sell for more than $50.

You sure about that bobby? The 5030 doesn't have sliders or the LED meter above the tape deck and it has the wrong speaker grilles.

You are correct, Don. I was going off memory of the message the seller sent me. I just glanced through it originally because I was taken aback by the pics.
