Buying outside the EU.

Hi guys,

Just wondering what experience you guys have had with buying boxes from outside of the EU, specifically the kind of customs charges you've had to fork out. I usually see the auctions on Ebay coming from the US which usually have an estimate for the customs charges, but you never usually see that for other countries, has anyone bought one from Russia? If so what was the experience you had?

Bringing it into the UK from russia has no charges. Japan is the one for charges....Think its about 20%

Huh, no charges eh? Interesting, I thought that HMRC charged VAT and customs charges on most items from outside the EU?
