My first attempt to build a Battery cover for my HELIX HX-4640. which after 2yrs of restoring inside out to re chroming was a big challenge and payoff. A battery cover was well due. I hit a local ACE Hardware store and got me a piece of standard plexi, that was with a small chip. Lucky for me... a discount. $9 from 11.00 not bad.
After measuring as close as possible all sides and inner corners I used a diamond 2.5 wheel a at low speed follow my stencil line.
after careful recheck. I use a sander wheel to clean off any kibble and light round off on square edges.
will keep you posted, as to mounts, paint and a logo soon.ROKBOX!
P.S never be afaid to go for it and try...
