Hello Everyone, I was wondering what is the best way to fix broken plastic. Would you recommend a strong glue or is there a better way? I'm trying to fix the bottom deck cassette guide and it's 3 pieces. Would you also be able to tell me if the springs are in the correct position and orientation? Any help would greatly appreciated.
Thanks for reading. :-)

Use some good strong plastic glue and you should be fine. You could reinforce it with some thicker plastic from ice cream boxes or something like that on one side.
Good luck! Looks well fixable

Use 2K epoxy with steel pin/wire/mesh/ reinforcement. I need to see the close up picture of the break and the function of it.

With the one shown above, we get 20 minute open time (set time) after mixing equal amounts of it.

I normally use the 6 minute open time epoxy. I make sure I am ready with the part to fix before I start mixing it.

If possible it is good to drill tiny holes to feed steel wire for reinforcement in addition to using 2K epoxy glue.

Yep I've used 2part 5 min epoxy and it does work great. But since using JB weld I have been more astonished with results. It can be drilled, sanded, painted and dries hard as steel. ;-). It especially works great on broken posts!!!

Thanks everyone, here's what I know so far. I have to decide which of the three epoxies/glue I'm going to use according to badboybill,BoomboxLover48 and JVC Floyd. Second, I will strengthen the posts with some additional plastic or mesh. Many thanks to all of you :surf:

OK, I was going to put my order through TAP on 4oz of #3 acrylic and the BD-25 syringe. Shipping to my home was $15+! and shipping to my work address was $10+! :nonono: . That would bring my total price with shipping to $20-$25. Why do they have to do that?

So I looked on ebay and sure enough, the same stuff I was going to order was $5-$10 cheaper than TAP. Total price of $13.90 shipped and I can use my paypal account, which is nice.
