Brand New One and Little Big One

Although i never planned to buy the new Lasonic i931, because i thought i wasnt ''my thing" and also because of the high prices overhere, i yesterday came across a brand new one, still boxed and with a kind of U.S. pricetag on it(they are,if available, sold here in the Netherlands for about 275 to 299 euros a piece, a lot of money in comparison with the US!) so i decided to take it home. I unpacked it and had to say that it has an impressive size and when i turned it on the sound wasnt bad at all but imho the sound lacks a little bit of body but on the other hand it has a lot of nice features to play my digital music.

When you increase the volume you can build a little party with it. I also like the RDS tuner in the box although with every station i tune in is says that you are listening to country??!! MUSIC. The price-quality seems with what i have paid now okay but you cannot compare it with the golden oldies. My children love it because they can play their mp3 files on a USB-stick on this one. Overall I am not disappointed with this purchase.
For so far the Lasonic.

The next box i bought today was a JVC RB-B550 boombox. This is the smaller version from the welknown big ones(RV10, RV99 etc). I also have the big RV10 bought new about a year of 8 ago in Germany at the KAUFHOF in Duisburg which has a very impressive and loud sound, just the way i like it.

I thought that her little sister wouldnt have this rich and powerfull sound BUT i was wrong!!!..The sound is awesome for this little one..it bangs and bangs like no any other box from this size, it is really outstanding..i didnt expected it to sound like a little earthquake but i really does! The flashing lights in the woofers are also a nice feature..

In the Netherlands the box isnt easy to find at a reasonable price..i presume thats also the problem in the UK?

Yes thats it exactly, off the top of my head it cost about £200 (brand new in box), thats buying it, shipping, import tax and post office handling charge.
I think there was one place in London selling them for about £325ish.
Ive now also bought in one other box from the US, it seems a bit daunting but i wouldnt hesitate to do it again if its a good shipping price.

OK, clear..its the same overhere, you can only buy them from one webshop for about 280 euro..i see them at the Bay listed in the US from 119 dollar and up..thats a huge difference..but better expensive than not for sale..i found one for 150 euro brand new in the box and thats in my opinion a reasonable price..
